This Sunday, March 6, 2005, was the second International Sketchcrawl. The goal is to spend the entire day drawing in your sketchbook. Sounded like a challenge too good to pass up... I met up with my good friends Erich Haeger and Brian "Browe" Growe at the Kodak Theater in downtown Hollywood. We started promptly at 11 AM.
Here we go!
Rough start.....eww....gotta warm up somehow...
I started experimenting with watercolor and a water-brush pen... fun stuff...
There was one girl working at a cart selling purses, and it seemed like she was specifically posing for us. A free model! or maybe she was just trying to seduce us into buying a gucci rip-off...who knows...
Lunch at Johnny Rockets
Prismacolor markers are fun...to smell....
I think this is my favorite page
By this time is was 5PM an Browe had to leave for work. Erich and I staggered on...
Erich did a nasty characature of me, so I told him I'd get him back....
We ended the day with some dinner at a place called "Hooters". I'd heard the scenery was really good to draw so we checked it out. After dinner is was almost 8PM and we were exhausted. All in all a successful Sketchcrawl. Can't wait to do it again...!! |
